Why does my married coworker only look at me during meetings

Need suggestions. 35F .In office my colleague male 4 yrs younger than me. He used to speak with me nicely he also married. I didn't share my personal life with him. I'm single mother. So I will not speak much. But this person speaking nicely and sitting just opposite to my seat. He doesn't speak much to others. But I don't know how we started to speak. Everytime he spoke different topics like politics, general, friends, etc. He have an eye contact and discuss about general topics. Whenever all of our team gathering and speaks, he speaks with seeing me only. Sometimes he can see others but most of the time he is seeing me and speaks. I just want to know what he is thinking. Did he really like me? He is very good person. So I don't think in bad way. But just want to understand about boys mindset. please give genuine suggestions

I am thirty-one, mentally exhausted, and trying to change careers

I am a 31-year-old man from a humble background. Soon after completing my schooling, my father lost his job, and due to our financial situation, I had to start working instead of pursuing my graduation. Since then, I have worked in call centers, sales, and customer service. These jobs have kept me going, but after all these years, I feel mentally exhausted and stuck. Today, I am the only one taking care of my father. And with my marriage planned for 2027, I feel an even greater responsibility to build a stable future. I’ve decided it's time for a career change. I'm looking to move into the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or AI-based project development or Project or Product Management Courses. I know it won't be easy, but I am ready to start from scratch, learn new skills, and work hard. I'm reaching out because I really value your opinion. If you know any good courses, mentors, or companies, or can guide me in any way, I would sincerely appreciate the help. Than...

I am drowning under corporate pressure and getting weekly migraines

24M I feel overworked with pressure and insecurity in Indian corporate. I am graduate of lower branch of top NIT. Prepared well for non tech job in campus with average cg. But in 2024, it sector compression started and hardly 50% of batch got placed. I got till final hr round in 2 companies but failed. So started to work in off campus for 5 lpa tech job. Thing is I am working here towards completing 2 years in Data Engineer support field. All older 10 engineers left including engineer manager in past 6nmonths and I am stranded here. New eng manager and new junior hires came. Even entire top management changed. Pay after first year increased to 6.5 lpa. Still I feel insecurity everyday because this company has 200+ clients and only i know what production/system and data issues each client has and every issue they are escalating to me. They have changed my team 3 times in these 2 years. These new folks do not know anything indepth(handling 200 clients is not easy, not b...

An old career mistake is blocking me from helping my family

25M – Need sincere career advice regarding employment verification from Seniors and HR professionals Hello Admin, please post this. I’m 25 years old and the younger son in my family. I come from a below-middle-class background and have significant family responsibilities, including debts incurred for my two elder sisters’ marriages. I have around 3 years of experience in the non-IT field and am currently working in a startup. After completing my Diploma in 2019, I joined an organization and worked there for around 10 months. Unfortunately, I had to leave the organization without serving the notice period because my mother suffered a serious health issue, and I had to take care of her. Once things became stable, I resumed my studies and completed my B.Tech. I then joined my current organization, where I have been working for the past 3 years. I have worked hard, gained good experience and developed strong knowledge in my field. However, my current salary is low, so I am now...

M 34 3 years old kid. I have

#18273 M 34 3 years old kid. I have 12 years of experience in IT as a non technical role (support and Business Analyst). God has been really kind to me that I survived 12 years without actually working that much. Hardly 2 to 3 hrs on an average per day. Also the roles i have worked in I hardly used any expertise and not a an support expert or a seasoned Business Analyst too. I don't know to even create a PPT or make simple excel work too like pivot. Now I have got a big 4 offer too and I have reached 36 lpa. I cleared the interviews by preparing for interviews. Now I have got a role of a technical operations manager. Frankly speaking I have got zero idea about it. It's a Service now techical role. I have zero hands on experience on it and just 10 percent of user experience. I cleared interviews by god's grace and I am thankful to God. I have a family to run as well i don't know will i survive this role or what's my future ahead. I just think god has been kind and has supported me ti...

I am thirty-one and still trying to figure out my career

My Career Confession at 31 I don't usually talk about my career struggles publicly, but I feel like sharing this might help me and maybe someone else going through something similar. I completed my Engineering from SPPU in 2017. After that, I spent several years preparing for the Civil Services Examination, until 2022. It was a period that taught me discipline, patience and a lot about society and governance, but it also meant that my career didn't move in the conventional direction. I then decided to change course and completed my Master's in Public Policy and Governance. Today, I am working with an NGO in Pune. I have gained meaningful experience in social impact, projects, research, governance and development. I genuinely value the work I do. But honestly, I am frustrated. I am 31 now, earning around ₹5 LPA, and finding it difficult to move forward in my career. I want to transition into the corporate sector, particularly into areas like ESG, sustainability, social...
