You do not need an account to submit a confession or leave a comment. That does not make a submission private: approved content may be published for anyone to read.

Do not share names, phone numbers, addresses, passwords, ID numbers, account details, or private workplace information.
Our hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers may receive your IP address, browser and device type, general location, pages viewed, visit time, and error data. Cookies or similar tools may also be used.
We receive the story, selected gender, submission time, status, and confession number. An email address is optional and is used only for submission updates, not shown publicly or used for marketing. If you revise a rejected confession, the draft is kept in your browser for that session.
We receive the title, author name, category, summary, article text, and the other details shown in the form. The author name may be published, so use only a name you are comfortable making public.
We store your comment, the article it belongs to, the time it was posted, and the name you enter, if any. The comment and optional name appear publicly on this site. Leave the name blank if you want the comment to display as Anonymous.
We store the article, your Helpful or Relatable choice, and a random browser identifier in a first-party cookie. This keeps one reaction per browser without storing your IP address as the reaction identity. Your reaction is not shown with a name.
The comment is checked for spam, abuse, and private details, then posted publicly to our Facebook page under an anonymous label. We may keep a database copy while comments are synchronized.
Email and WhatsApp are not anonymous. We receive the email address or phone number connected to your account, your message, and anything you choose to send.
We use submission data to validate forms, review content, show submission status, publish approved work, and respond to reports. Approved stories may also appear on Facebook and Instagram.
hCaptcha uses technical information to check that a request comes from a person. Our hosting and database providers process requests, logs, and stored content to keep the site working and secure.
Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights, and Google AdSense help us understand visits, improve performance, detect abuse, and serve or measure ads.
We may preserve or share information when valid law requires it, or when reasonably needed to investigate abuse, protect the service, enforce our rules, or respond to a serious risk of harm.
We do not sell confession text or contact messages as personal-information lists. We do rely on providers that host, store, publish, measure, and protect the service.
Stories, articles, names, and comments can be copied, saved, shared, or indexed by search engines. Removing something here may not remove copies held elsewhere.
We keep submissions for review, publication, safety, and record-keeping while they are needed. Contact messages and technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary. Backups and outside providers may use different retention periods.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser and adjust Google ad settings. Some features, including captcha, may stop working if required tools are blocked.
Where applicable law gives you the right, you may ask to access, correct, or remove personal information. Use our Contact page and include the exact URL or confession number. Without it, we may be unable to locate an anonymous submission.
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website is perfectly secure. Some providers may process information in countries with different privacy laws.
The platform is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek their personal information. Please contact us if you believe a child has shared private details.
