Editorial Policy

Clear labels for personal stories and editorial content.

The platform publishes two different kinds of material. This policy explains what readers can reasonably expect from each.

Our aim

Publish work that is honest, readable, useful, and responsible about its limits.

Content types

Anonymous Confessions and Articles are not the same

Anonymous Confessions

Confessions are personal experiences, memories, and opinions submitted by users. They are reviewed for publication standards, but we generally cannot independently verify every event. They do not represent the platform's position.

Articles

Articles are editorial or informational pieces published for explanation, reflection, or practical context. They are presented in the Articles section with an author name where one was truthfully supplied, or with The Corporate Confessions as the publisher.

Community comments

Comments remain the views of individual participants. Moderation makes them safer to display; it does not turn them into editorial advice or platform endorsements.

Professional advice

Personal stories and general articles are not a substitute for advice from a qualified medical, legal, mental-health, or financial professional. We do not claim professional review unless an article explicitly and truthfully documents it.

Editorial process

What we review

Purpose and quality

Articles should have a clear purpose, enough original substance to help a reader, a readable structure, and a title and summary that accurately describe the content.

Sources and claims

Where an article relies on outside facts, research, statistics, or quotations, sources should be identified where practical. Personal observation should not be presented as established fact.

Sensitive topics

Content involving safety, self-harm, abuse, health, money, or legal disputes is reviewed with extra care for harmful instructions, unsupported certainty, privacy risks, and the distinction between experience and advice.

Corrections and updates

We may clarify, correct, update, or remove published material. Material updates may be reflected by an updated date. To request a correction, use the Contact page and include the article URL and supporting details.
