This is from a 29M. I recently met a girl through an arranged marriage setup, based on a recommendation from family friends. Since we both work in the same city, we decided to meet. Before I get into the particular incident, let me give you a brief introduction about myself. We are a family of three: my father, my mother, and me. My grandparents passed away when my father was in high school. My father works as an advocate in a district court in Bihar, and we basically come from a lower-middle-class background. My parents worked hard to provide me with a good education and helped me reach IIT Kanpur. Currently, I earn around 40 lakhs per year. However, my parents still live in a rented 1BHK house near the district court. We didn't even own a house in our ancestral village. You can call me the first-generation having some money. Once I started earning, I built a typical village house, similar to a 2BHK setup, in our ancestral village. I am currently planning to buy land in th...
Read Full confession →I am posting this to seek an objective, grounded perspective from Indian women—especially those who have navigated serious relationships or the arranged-marriage process. I’m not looking for simple "just leave her" or "give her another chance" reactions. I want to understand whether, from a woman’s perspective, a dynamic like this can realistically be healed, or if taking even a single step back would be a fundamental mistake. Here is the timeline, as objectively as I can lay it out. How It Began * January: We connected through an arranged-marriage setup. * Early February: We met in person for the first time. During these initial weeks, I told her openly and repeatedly: if she felt any hesitation, lacked attraction, or didn't see a future, she could tell me candidly and we would part ways amicably. Each time, she reassured me that she liked me and wanted to move forward. * Late February: We went on our first official date. From there, our communication grew rapidly—we talked d...

Read Full confession →Hey everyone, I just needed a safe space to share a recent experience that really shook me up. I’m a 30-year-old guy living here in Bangalore, running my own financial consultancy. Looking back, my love life was mostly made up of quiet, one-sided crushes that I never had the courage to pursue. Before I knew it, I turned 30, all my close friends got married, and the pressure from home started building up. So, on August 16th, I finally decided to give the arranged marriage process a shot. I met four different prospects in a single day. All four were working in MNCs earning under 10 LPA. Honestly, I went in with zero expectations about their salary or family wealth—all I cared about was finding a genuine, kind life partner. But what actually happened felt less like a personal meeting and more like a high-stakes corporate audit. Instead of asking about my character, values, or family, the conversations immediately shifted to my balance sheet: * How many rental properties do...
Read Full confession →My husband cheated on me, and I have all the proof. I tried giving him a second chance so we could work on our marriage. We both tried, but it simply isn’t working out. Our families recently met, and he stated that he wants a divorce. During a private one-on-one discussion, he offered to return the maximum possible amount my father spent on the wedding, along with reimbursing the household expenses we incurred. He also agreed to sign a stamped, legally binding affidavit to formalize this security. Now I am torn: Should I accept his offer, or should I file a legal case against him for adultery, mental harassment, and the damage I’ve suffered? My biggest concern with taking the legal route is the immense stress, time, and money involved. I worry the legal battle will get ugly, as he will likely go to any length to protect himself and his family. To be clear: This is not about being greedy or trying to get easy money. I poured everything into this marriage at the cost of my own peace...
Read Full confession →Well , I am an NRI and have an Indian neighbour with whom I have been going for walks, grocery shopping and small drives etc . She has 2 kids 10M and 17F. Usually she sends her younger one for errands like sending food etc. to me and I keep a goodie tray and all kids who drop in, get to pick up a chocolate/ candy/ sticker, so does he. I have also babysat him and he drops by in case he is locked out of his duplex . I am affectionate to this kid though he is the only kid who never comes and hugs me unlike all other 10 y o in our friend circle but then he is rather cold to his mom . I remember once when his mom was serving food , he mentioned waiters serve food , something like that and I corrected him that at home those serving food are serving with love so it's not fine to call them waiters maybe chef or baker would be better. The elder one is usually reserved, hardly acknowledges me and have not even seen her with any friends of her own. I shared multiple times with my husband...

Read Full confession →F28, I am married, and recently I started receiving unwanted Whatsapp messages from an unknown person. They claim they know about my past relationships and are threatening to tell my husband everything. The scariest part is that they know personal details that only a few people could know. I had relationships before marriage, and I am terrified that my past will destroy my marriage because i had s*x with some boys on teenage time. I got some money also. I ready to give the amount. Finally, I found out who was behind those messages. I had received some money from him earlier, and now I’m ready to return the entire amount. I know I cannot change my past, but I am scared of losing my husband because of it.
