We need to escape our hometown to rebuild our lives safely

“If you had lost almost everything and wanted to start again somewhere peacefully, where would you go? We are a Muslim family, and right now we are going through one of the hardest phases of our lives. We are carrying around ₹5-6lakh in debt, and unfortunately, these are not people we feel safe arguing with or dealing with every day. We don't want fights. We don't want threats. We don't want to keep visiting police stations. We don't want our children or family members to live with fear and stress. Every day in our hometown has become another problem. Another argument. Another phone call. Another demand. Another sleepless night. At this point, we are seriously thinking about leaving everything behind and moving to another city. We may not even have enough money for a proper house deposit, advance rent, furniture, or setting up a new home. But honestly, we would rather struggle to build a peaceful life somewhere new than continue living every day under fear and pressure. Our intention is not to run away from our responsibility. We want to repay every rupee we owe. We are ready to work. Any honest work. Whatever it takes. We just need a place where we can get an opportunity to earn, survive, and slowly rebuild our lives. So I genuinely want to ask everyone here: If you were in our situation, which Indian city would you choose? Work opportunities for someone starting from zero A safe environment for a family I'm not a man who is well educated or professional work experience. I worked all odd jobs rapido, cab bike hotel auto If I relocate will do any thi g road side selling whatever

Hey stranger, I’m in no position to judge you, and I’m sure you must have taken on such a huge loan because you were trying to fulfil your family’s needs and responsibilities. All I can suggest is that you meet the people you owe money to, calmly explain your current situation, and work out a realistic repayment plan with them. Be mindful of what you commit to, and once you agree on a payment schedule, try your best to make the payments regularly on the promised dates. I’m sure people will be more understanding and considerate if they see that you’re being honest, transparent, and genuinely making an effort to repay what you owe. I sincerely hope you’re able to come out of this difficult situation soon. Stay strong, and God bless.

I think you guys are panicking. Don't run away. Ask your wife to start working . I think you guys are panicking. Work in shifts for a few years. Take help from family or friends .

I think relocating can be a reasonable option, but it should be done with a plan rather than as an immediate escape. With ₹5 to 6 lakh of debt and limited savings, the priority should be finding a city where rent is manageable, daily wage or entry level work is available, and there is some support network. Cities like Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai or even smaller Tier 2 cities could offer opportunities, but the best choice depends on the kind of work available and the cost of living. Before moving the entire family, it may be wiser for one adult to move first, secure accommodation and a source of income, and then bring the family once things are stable. Also, please don't feel ashamed about doing odd jobs. Driving, delivery, hotel work, construction, vending or other honest work can be a legitimate starting point. What matters is creating stable income and gradually clearing the debt. Most importantly, if there are actual threats or harassment, don't simply disappear without securing the family's safety and taking appropriate legal advice. Keep records of threats and financial dealings, and seek help from trusted people or local authorities when necessary. Starting over is difficult, but it is possible. The goal shouldn't be to run away from the debt, it should be to move from a situation of constant fear to one where the family can work, live peacefully and repay what they owe step by step.

Do 2-3 jobs a day quickly, rather than trying exotic things which will further put you in another debt trap. You don't want to end up in jail, right!? And engage your family members too, to earn and make life better and better.....ppl will give you more loans and you wil not know when you have repayed your liabilities.

Its not a big amount. If your wife is studied ask her to look a job. Nowadays a single earned money will not be enough for expense

So you took this much loan without having a plan of repayment? And now you want to start from scratch to rebuild your life and also repay by running away first? Trust me these guys will find your anywhere on earth and take every penny back. Please be careful and come up with a proper plan. Running away won't help.
