30yrs Male, married with 3years boy kid. I came from lower middle class family and built my career out of struggles, hardwork and dedication. My parents worked very hard to give better life to me. Now i am an IT professional with decent salary staying in Bengaluru with my wife, kid and brother who is also an IT professional and yet to get married. I have taken home loan and constructing my home in my native as we had no own home. We had our own home but it was sold out by my dad because of my sisters marriage expenses. So I wanted to have own shelter for us in native where my parents stays and visit Bengaluru often. Some of my colleagues and friends have bought apartment flat in Bengaluru and asking me when I am going to buy. And they are also asking me why I am constructing house in native. Instead i could have bought a flat in Bengaluru where I am paying rent. Have I done mistake according to them or just ignore and move on as I know what are my commitments? Please provide your opinions.
It's better to stay and invest in your hometown then Bengaluru as the AI is sweeping real-estate away and creating market disruptions. A place at your hometown is peace and stability. Don't have to worry about what people talk unless they pay your bills.
What you did is correct. I did the same for my parents.i saw the happiness in my parents that time I forget all my burdens and my mom crying with happiness saying to all that my son fruitful their dream of own house. What ever we do to our parents considering the sacrifice they did is small in my mind. Be happy and did the right thing
बेवकूफो को नहीं समझना चाहिए। उन्हों बोलो को तुम सही मै गलत और मुझे गलत करने मे बड़ा मजा आता है। Next time से वो तुम्हे परेशान नहीं करेंगे।
Kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. Bro, you made the right decision.
You are absolutely right b'coz you know ur priorities & necessities better than anybody else in this whole world. Just ignore & avoid such discussions with your friends who are not your family members. It's not possible for them to understand the happiness & well being of your family members! Definitely it may not be suitable for your parents to always stay with you in Bangalore permanently. You know best what keeps them most happy & healthy.
Your decision is absolutely 💯 👌 correct ..build a home in native place ..your freinds are selfish categories....don't be confused about your decision...
They are losers if you have parents and you have done it for them you just did a great deed for them and you have a ancestral property which this modern people dont have so great +1 for you and yes in future if you can afford buy a flat for yourself even though a cheap one because all of your rent is just going waste its a expense for you buy a cheap flat and move in it
You have not done anything wrong. Don't discuss personal choices and decisions with friends. What kind of friends they are....every family has different bonding, trust and requirements.
U r into wrong friend circle bro. U have done absolutely right.
Who is owner of the land? ONLY your money used for construction or your wife, brother, sister, her husband have also contributed financially? Who is owner of bunglow? Joint property creates chaos. Your bro and sis can ask for their share in this property if land is father's, even if all construction money is ONLY yours. So I always suggest to keep properties ONLY in the name of financial contributors. It feels nice to build home for parents. Modern Shravan baal... But there is a risk that neither parents nor siblings will remember and acknowledge your efforts; give you credit for it in present and future.
Doing for parents is always good whatever world says
According to me you did the right thing buddy as you can move to other cities or onsite opportunities it'll be no use to you invest in Bangalore...
Bhai vo tumhare dost ni ho skte hai vo tume bhtka re hai ,,you seem to be manipulated though you are educated
Bro just ignore.. .. the people have become simps a
What you’ve done is not a mistake. Buying a flat in Bengaluru may make sense for some people, but it doesn’t automatically make it the right choice for everyone. You have a clear reason for building a home in your native place, your parents live there, you had to give up your earlier family home for your sister’s marriage, and you want to give your family a permanent place to call their own. That is a meaningful financial and emotional decision. At the same time, do make sure the home loan and construction costs are comfortably manageable alongside your responsibilities toward your wife, child and future needs. A decision should be judged by affordability and long term planning, not by what colleagues or friends are buying. Everyone has different priorities. Some invest in Bengaluru real estate, some invest in their parents, some prioritise financial freedom, and some choose a combination of these. If your decision is financially sustainable and aligned with your family’s goals, you don’t need to justify it to anyone. You are building a home based on your circumstances, not competing with your colleagues. Ignore the comparison, stay within your means, and move forward confidently. Your friends may have opinions, but ultimately, you and your family will live with the decision, not them.
Stay strong on your wish...
They are not your friends
Its your money and your choice
u did right.
Before your house completes change your friends.
