So I recently came to know that my husband gave 35-40 lakh as loan to one of my frnd using credit cards paytm Google pay for some business and promise of good return. And now it’s been gonna 3 years my husband had not got any returns as of today . He took loan paid through upi and also through credit cards. I want that money back is there any way out ? I am informed that business failed its unsuccessful. My husband salary goes in paying loans for that frnd unsuccessful business.

YES you can ! Firstly, do check if your husband took any cheques from the beneficiary or not. Secondly, as per you, transactions are done online, do file a complaint on cyber portal immediately and do give in person, a complaint st your nearest cyber cell too. Also, if no promissory note was issued by the beneficiary, it will be considered as loan, without security given to him and accordingly, can be persuaded legally as per different sections of BNS. My husband has played this gamble for years and has lost 15 to 20 lakhs likewise whatever he earns extra he pays his debts..it is worrisome since we are in senescense years..he has not saved a single penny
