I finally got a job abroad but it is killing my career

I completed my B.E. in 2016. After completing my degree, I started working locally while also trying to get a job abroad. Wherever I tried, I faced the same problem — I was a fresher, so I couldn't get a job. In 2018, I finally got an opportunity to go to Saudi Arabia with a free visa. I handed over my passport and waited for the process to move forward. But after two months, they suddenly told me that the position for which I had been recruited was put on hold, so they were not going to process my visa. They returned my passport. That experience frustrated me badly. After that, I lost interest in trying for jobs abroad again. At the same time, my father became sick, and I had to take care of him. Because of that responsibility, I left my job and focused on my family. After my father passed away, I had to think about my responsibilities again. I started working in a dress shop because, at that time, I needed a job and had responsibilities to handle. Then COVID came and affected everything even more. It became another major interruption in my life. After 2022, I finally got an opportunity to work in my core field. I started gaining experience and slowly rebuilt my career. The company taught me the practical side of the field, but it also taught me something personally — I learned how badly a company can treat its employees and how differently employees can be valued. In 2024, my sister got married. After that, I felt a little more relaxed because one of my major family responsibilities was settled. I then moved to another company. For the first time in a long while, things started to feel right. My work, my situation, and my life seemed to be moving in the right direction. Then, in February 2026, I started applying for jobs abroad again. I randomly found official company email IDs and started sending my resume directly. One day, I received a reply from a company in the UAE. They interviewed me, and I was selected. But this time, I didn't blindly trust the opportunity because of what had happened to me in the past. I checked everything and took my time before finally deciding to go. The company sponsored the visa, and they also paid for the flight ticket, although the ticket cost would be deducted from my salary. Finally, in May 2026, I flew to the UAE. I started working on a tourist visa. They told me that after two months, they would convert it to an employment visa. But after coming here, I realized that the job was not what I had expected. I came expecting a job related to my core field, but I was given sales-related work. I had never worked in that kind of role before. Slowly, I started noticing things about the company that reminded me of the first company where I had started building my career. I began feeling that I was again moving away from my core field. I'm getting my salary, but part of it is being paid through the bank and part of it is being given as cash, as they told me. Even after almost three months, I'm still not working under the employment visa arrangement that was promised. Now I feel like I'm slowly moving away from the career I worked hard to build. So now I'm standing at another turning point. I have around one month before my visa expires in the first week of September. I have three choices. First: If I get a job in my core field, I can move to that company and continue building my career. Second: If I don't get a core-field job, I can continue with my current company for the time being and keep searching. Third: If I don't get a core-field job and I don't feel the current situation is worth continuing, I can ask them not to extend my visa and return to India. After everything that has happened since 2016, I don't know whether I should prioritize the salary I am getting now or the career I have spent years trying to build. Please advice me on this !
