M37. There are incidents in life which just sticks to you, no matter how old u become. This confession is only to motivate ppl who r going through bad phases in their life. I still get goosebumps thinking about the lowest phase in my life. I lost my father due to when I was 9. That itself was too much since it was going to severely affect the overall course of my life. But I didn’t know that the lowest phase was yet to come. When I was 15, my mother was detected having Cancer and I lost her 2 years later. Board exams were going on and she was taken to hospital due to severe weakness post chemotherapy. She died in the hospital the same day but I came to know the next day when her body was brought from the hospital. Won’t be able to describe that day but I went ahead to give my board exams the next day. We didn’t own a house, had no career and financial situation was at its worst. When I still think about it after almost 20 years, I am overpowered by feelings and emotions. But I also draw strength from that phase. Whenever I am in a situation where I feel stressed, weak or when life is full of problems, I think about that day and every problem starts looking so miniscule. The phase where I had no intention to live even a single moment, when I was just thinking ways how to end my life. And here I am after so many years, having my own family, financial stability with a Class 1 CG job. However, the things I lost could never be compensated by anything, I have accepted this fact and made peace with it. There will be always be moments in life where a person may feel that life has now no meaning at all. I would request you to have courage and give time. Don’t let an incident or a phase define your whole life, work to make things better and time eventually will heal everything.
