I worry I will have to lead my future husband forever

Hlo m 30f unmarried. I am.tired of searching for mrg. No past relationships. Recently talk to a guy who was a cma. He is innocent decent respectful guy. Introvert shy under confident. No girl as a frnd . No frnd during clg life. Only have some school frnds to whom he is close and has a group also. During preparation of cma also he has no frnds.no social media . Only linked in that too without pic. His wjtsapp dp is also missing.M an ambivert i talk to people make frnds enjoy my life. He is was more into chating m a call person. I tried initiating calls from side since he never called from his side for his shy introvert nature. After few days talk mostly chatting I thought of seeing his personality so I had to fix a meeting. He said he is shy and don't know wht to do since this is the first time in his life meeting a girl. And said it's saavn and we can meet after that. I understand that he is introvert but being under confident that too an adult man in his 30s !! I feel I will always have to push him for everything and teach him things. And how he will lead a mrg life.. a woman want to be in her feminine side when her man leads. For few times i can lead things but wht if it is for life time. There will be other complicated things, I doubt he can even take stand for me he has two sisters there will always be ll chaos for sure. Tell me any such people how are they in a mrg.!? Shouldn't a mrg be done equally matured confident people who can lead a better life . Pour your suggestions

Editorial PerspectiveThe Corporate Confessions Editorial Team

Understanding This Situation

The tension in this confession lies between the desire for a reliable, respectful partner and the fear of a permanent imbalance in relationship dynamics. The writer, an expressive ambivert, faces a dilemma with a prospective partner whose extreme introversion, lack of social footprint, and self-admitted underconfidence spark worry. She values his decency and professional status as a CMA, yet she struggles with the immediate burden of initiating all contact and planning.

A central point of reflection is the conflict between different cultural or personal expectations of marital roles. The writer expresses a desire to step back and allow her partner to lead—a dynamic she associates with her "feminine side"—but fears his current passivity foreshadows a lifetime of having to push and teach him. This highlights a broader negotiation between complementary personalities and compatible expectations of leadership within a partnership. While some couples find balance when an outgoing partner complements a highly introverted one, the writer fears this dynamic might instead translate to a lack of advocacy and emotional maturity, especially when navigating complex family relationships, such as with his sisters. Ultimately, the situation presents a classic pre-marital evaluation: whether a partner's quiet stability represents a safe harbor or a potential lifetime of emotional exhaustion.

Things Worth Thinking About

  • How can a partner distinguish between temporary, situational shyness in a first relationship and a long-term lack of confidence?
  • To what extent should early courtship behaviors, like initiating calls and planning meetings, be used to predict how a partner will handle complex family dynamics later in marriage?
  • How do differing expectations of relationship roles—specifically the desire for a partner to "lead"—affect compatibility when one person is highly introverted and the other is an ambivert?

Just because he is shy and introvert doesn't mean he can't be responsible. Those are two different things. But I would advice give it more time and meet multiple times. Only once he opens up with you then you can understand if he is ideal partner for you or not.

Being a shy introvert is one thing but not picking up calls only texting n finding excuses to avoid meeting all of this is creating a lot of doubts Its better to look for someone else I hope u get married soon Stay blessed

You are overthinking. He is not a kid.. he will adult and learn fast enough to catch up with you. You need to keep your impressions away and see him as new place exploring newly.

Don’t make a decision yet. If possible wait for some more time. Don’t rush into anything. Keep your options open too. Maybe he will open up soon. Good luck !!!

Being introverted or shy doesn’t automatically mean someone is immature, incapable, or unable to be a good husband. Confidence and social skills can develop with time, especially when someone hasn’t had much experience interacting with women. That said, your concern about having to “lead” everything is valid. Marriage shouldn’t become a parent child dynamic where one person constantly pushes, teaches, decides and handles every difficult situation. The important thing is to understand why he is hesitant and whether he is willing to grow. Before rejecting him based on his personality, meet him a few times and observe how he handles responsibility, decisions, disagreements, family boundaries and difficult conversations. Is he simply shy, or does he genuinely avoid responsibility? There is a big difference. Also, being introverted doesn’t mean he cannot stand up for his wife or lead a family. Likewise, being confident and extroverted doesn’t guarantee that someone will be a supportive or responsible partner. And “feminine side” and “man should lead” are personal preferences, not universal rules. A healthy marriage can have both partners taking the lead at different times depending on the situation. Don’t marry him hoping to change him, but also don’t reject him solely because he doesn’t fit your preferred personality type after a few conversations. Take enough time to understand whether your values, expectations and partnership styles are actually compatible.

Your priority shouldn't be marriage, priority should be a good health with happy life. And as you said you just had some chat with him and it cannot decide whether he is good for marriage or not! Well meet him , talk to him face to face for sometime and think about it little later! You'll get your answer automatically!

Explore various boys , why you remaining fixated with one, who seems not even yr type... If you are so outgoing/extrovert , what's this so much thinking about one... Keep meeting new , whoever occupies (i) your mind most, whoever is (ii) most opposite to your personality, choose him. (Mind you both qualities not just one).

I get your fear 💛 Leading forever is exhausting. Introvert hona theek hai, par effort dikhna chahiye. Kya wo apne shyness pe kaam karne ko ready hai? Shaadi 2 logon ki team hai, 1 log ka CEO nahi. Baat karo clearly.

Girl... what's needed for life is totally missing in him. I agree he is good, no bad habits, no past, no gfs, etc etc. But he will be the most.complicated man you will ever live with if you marry him. I would say, let it go. He is binded very much in his own head, too much conditioning while growing up. I'm 100% sure he will project all these on to you and even start tantrums which you may not expect - the silent treatment, not stepping up to be a team when needed, not showing up to events as his ego will be playing a major role. Underconfident men can NEVER accept or treat their partners as equals. They will pull them down to their level guilt tripping you for everything. If you really want to live with him, you must be very strong in your boundaries, finances, self respect, individuality and career. If not, you will be doomed. Im not scaring you but this is the bitter truth with these kind of conditioned men.

Gal.. this is literally EVERY MAN, sadly. U marry anyone, this is smthng ul receive without asking for and u need to deal with it!! And the ones that does all the initiatives n seems involved is involved with multiple. Its fine. If this person holds respectful space for u, u can be urself, trust worthy naa.. u can giv it a thought. This exactly is hw life balances. If two similar characters are under one roof, it never ends well.

Maybe he's an AI under testing.

How did you come across this prospective groom? If it's through matrimonial site, then it's definitely fake. Stop wasting time on him.
