Hi all, Im working in cognizant, chennai location. Im being moved to bench by 19 june since got released from project. I have some doubts regarding bench period, i asked some of my colleagues but it was confusing and not cleared my doubts. Please help me with my doubts 1. Currently How long i can stay in bench? Days or week or months? I heard that the bench period is reduced, thats why. 2. If i dont accept (rejects) any projects and stay in bench, will there be any consequences like termination or forced resignation? 3. If i resign while on bench, what is the notice period? Still 90 days or less? 4. If i resigned while in bench, can they release me early? If so how early they can release? 5. I know i have to come to office 5 days a week while in bench, but what is the login/logoff time? How long i have to stay in office? How much hours i can topup each day? 6. Is it possible to take WFH during bench period? If so, what are the exceptions? 7. Is there any monitoring being carried out while in office? If so, What are they?? I want to switch companies, im searching for jobs, so i need this details about bench for better planning, kindly help me Thanks in advance

If your not assigned to any project within 45 days HR will call & ask you to do force resignation If your from technical team try ping other teams & ask for available openings. Try not to resign from your end wait until HR calls , sometimes people be in bench for more than 6 months. If your team or your manager is not working in your branch u can do punch in punch out, but sometimes HR will do a video call for further evaluation it depends
