Joined Infosys in November as lateral and got allocated to an account in December. Manager initially said client evaluation would happen in January because of US holidays. For almost 2 months I kept following up, but there were no updates and later in February I was released because the position went on hold. During that period my profile was locked with that account, so I missed other opportunities internally. After that I was on central bench and continuously messaged TPDs/unit managers for openings but barely got responses. In May I finally started getting a few opportunity calls, but one account mapped me immediately and because of that other accounts could not evaluate me. Now the same project team is saying they themselves are not sure whether the project will actually start or not, waiting for closure from client side, and they have just given me pre-prod allocation for a month. I asked for the released so that I can reach other accounts. My concern is that I’m still non-billable and rating cycle is in September. I’m worried whether they can give UP/NI kind of ratings or target me later even though most of this situation was outside my control. I never rejected opportunities, continuously followed up for work. Please help me to get out of this mess.
