My wife gets text messages containing only a single dot

I’m a married male, age 38. I want to confess something here that is been bothering me for sometime. Please tell me if I am overthinking. First, my wife told me that she got a male friend at office with a smiling face. She said he talks very good english. Days passed by.. one day evening when I was holding her phone casually talking to her, a WhatsApp message came from her contact list with just a dot. When I showed who is texting with just a dot and showed the profile picture to her.. she smiled and did not reply much but just said it is her friend. When asked further, she told that she came to know him through some random ping on her office messenger. He is not in her team but someone with the same company who randomly pinged and she got his contact number and saved.. days continued but I was really worried that she is talking to someone but really not from her team. I felt little suspicious. I saved the guys number on my phone. I kept checking her WhatsApp status on my phone whether she is online. I figured whenever she is online for quick one minute and then immediately the guys WhatsApp status also becomes online.. To confirm I continuously checked everyday on my phone and found this a pattern. I was curious to find out whether she is really talking to him. One day I decided to confront her when I saw frequent online from both the side. Immediately I went to her place and we both were at the office cafeteria. She placed her phone on the table, I quickly grabbed the phone to see if there are any messages from him. Interestingly I found out he just pinged her ‘hi’ and she replied back saying just ‘what’. As soon as I grabbed the phone. She was restless and immediately tried grabbing the phone from me.. I tried to move away but she followed me asking for the phone. Since it’s cafeteria I gave her back the phone and had little conversation regarding that matter.. she said are you suspecting me and after sometime she decided to come with me home. While returning back on a bike, I questioned why she is talking to him, she said you are unnecessarily angry for no reason,. Did I elope with him or what? I did not know what to react or say and kept silent. Months passed by she moved to a different country and later some point I went to see her. She changed her phone number in the new country. Again on a random day when she was sleeping in a Saturday afternoon the same guy texted with just a dot from his old WhatsApp number to her new phone number. After seeing the same thing again I confronted her but she blamed it on him that I don’t know why he texted with a dot. The next day, looked like she talked to him the next day and she told me the dot message is nothing but she put a blame on me that I am unnecessarily thinking that it is a pattern and said when she asked about it with him the next day, he also laughed about it. What do you guys think about it. Am I unnecessarily suspecting and complicating things?
