Should I marry her in court if her family hates me

Please ma there's a challenge I am facing now. There's this young girl I love and honestly I really love this girl and she loves me too and my parents and family love and welcome her but in the other hand, her parents including her siblings really h@te me for reason I don't even know. Since my family and parents love and accepted the girl and the girl and I are deeply inlove with each other, should I go ahead and marry her in court? Please don't just read and pass, you can help a brother with your suggestion and advice. Thank you❤️

Marriage is not just about two people in love, it's also about navigating families, especially in cultures where family relationships matter in the long run. Before rushing into a court marriage, find out why her family is against you. There is usually a reason, even if you haven't been told. It could be concerns about your background, finances, religion, caste, past misunderstandings, or simply fear of losing their daughter. If she is an adult and both of you are certain about your future together, you have the legal right to marry. But a court marriage should be your last option, not your first. Exhaust every reasonable effort to communicate, involve neutral elders or respected family members, and address their concerns. Starting a marriage with unresolved hostility from one side of the family can create years of emotional stress for both of you. Also, make sure your girlfriend is prepared for the consequences. If her family decides to cut ties, she will be the one most affected emotionally. Don't make this decision based only on love in the present, discuss finances, where you'll live, career goals, children, and how you'll handle family conflicts. If, after thoughtful discussions and sincere attempts at reconciliation, you both still choose to marry, let it be a well informed decision rather than an emotional reaction.

What if your girl also takes her parents side later? Do you know the consequences? Women are never stable emotionally and afterall women change side quickly. Finally ,many people wheather male or female , suddenly they think about their parents and do whatever their parents tell. Just think about the consequences if something like this happens tomorrow and do whatever you want.

Marry her now her family don't approve but later on they will approve,in later life no body will there only you partners will be there with each other,if you don't marry your family will be glad but you will like a zombie for whole life, but if you married with each other you will be happy later on your parents will be also happy so hear of your heart not brain

You can marry her but without marriage don't bring her to your house. You will get into unnecessary legal trouble.

If you asking this question that means you have doubt on urself and your love towards her 😂 .. better you donot marry until you are confined that you really love her and you want to spend the rest life with her whatever be condition

If you both are 1. adults && 2. earning enough money for own food+clothes+shelter Then sure go ahead and get married. Invite immediate families from both sides. Whether they come or not is upto them.

Without rituals As per the latest Supreme Court Judgment marriage will be considered as a void marriage. Both rituals and Registry marriage are needed to make a marriage legal in the eyes of Law

There are many cases where couples break up because of family, marry someone else and then struggle to love their spouse. They never truly move on from their ex. In some cases they eventually reconnect and cheat too. So if you both can move on from this, then thinking about ending the relationship is reasonable. If not, then have some patience and try to convince her parents. If that still doesn't work, then just get married. Don't make decisions that'll ruin not only your lives but someone else's too.

This entirely depends on for how long have both the families known about your relationship

Dude I say leave the girl. Move on

Anonymous4 August 2026 at 11:21 am

go ahead time will solve things..marry her and stay happy

Don’t. In future you will regret not having good relationships with them.
