I Hid My Secret Beard From Every Partner

**A woman with a beard on her face.** I'm 27F and was diagnosed with idiopathic hirsutism. It's male-pattern hair growth in women. Before I got laser treatment, I had a light beard and a light happy trail on my stomach. I don't have PCOS or PCOD, which is the most common cause of this problem. No other health issues. Only my closest female friends knew about it. I would always pluck the beard hair with tweezers before going out. I was embarrassed and ashamed of it for years. I could never tell a guy friend or an ex about it. Now, at this age, I don't feel ashamed anymore. It was a cosmetic issue that I fixed, and unfortunately, it's not uncommon. Many women deal with it. My questions are: 1) Do I tell my future partner about this? Is it something I should disclose like an STD level concern? 2) For men, would this be a big deal or a deal breaker? 3) For women, if you've been in a similar situation, how did you handle it?

Disclose it, to avoid future issues.

I am a person with a similar condition. I had very thick, highly noticeable hair, and it was accepted by everyone around me. My doctor said it is genetic and a completely normal condition. I underwent laser treatment, and it has been completely cured. It is not about hiding it; it is about having a partner who accepts us as we are. For me, everything was normal. My thyroid and hormone levels were normal, and I had no signs of PCOD. So, it was purely genetic. You can consider this as normal, as many people have different challenges in life. As you mentioned, this is curable and is just a cosmetic concern.

Yes you should tell your partner about it .. first you getting pregnant will a difficulty.. if God has planned but difficult proposition .. you might have to on hormone replacement therapy to induce estrogen in system rather than testosterone. Yes for men and more for the mom of the Guy ...iam woman , i would not keep any body in dark .. a medical issue is a medical issue .

Would he even ask? Or you just want to tell?

Get laser done and get it treated. If the guy loves you he will not care. If he is an AH he will bring it up all the time and use it to shame you. Chose wisely.

99% guys will ignore this information. so just chill and tell in a positive confident way to your guy.
