He Was On Chapter 20, I Was Still Reading The Preface

My Husband Thought Marriage Was a 365-Day Honeymoon Package ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📖 Confession I'm a 21-year-old girl who got married to a wonderful 90s-model husband. Unfortunately, he had been preparing for marriage since the invention of Nokia phones. The poor man had watched every family serial, every romantic movie, and probably every "Ideal Husband" WhatsApp forward. I, on the other hand, was still mentally adjusting to the fact that I now had another human living in my room. By the fourth day of marriage, my husband confidently asked me to scrub soap on his back while we were alone at home. At the exact same moment, the neighbour kids called me to play badminton. Now tell me honestly... if a bunch of excited children call your name versus a fully grown man asking for premium bathing assistance, which emergency deserves immediate attention? He still remembers this incident like I abandoned him on a battlefield. Then came his Master Plan. Before our wedding flowers had even dried, he started discussing babies. According to him, if we didn't produce a child within six months, the entire extended family would hold a press conference asking questions. I simply suggested that maybe we should first save some money, buy a few household items, and figure out how to pay future school fees before creating future students. Somehow, this practical financial discussion became an attack on his self-respect. One morning I wore a blue dress. Five minutes later, this man proudly appeared wearing a matching blue T-shirt and pants with the confidence of a couple entering a television dance reality show. I immediately changed into pink. Not because I hated matching with him, but because I wasn't emotionally prepared to become the "colour-coordinated newlyweds" that every auntie photographs without permission. He also had serious concerns about my bike seating arrangements. According to his observations, every newly married wife in India apparently hugs her husband like she's protecting him from the wind. I sat normally because I wanted both of us to reach home with functioning spinal cords. Every speed breaker already felt like an earthquake. Romance can wait until the roads improve. Then came my birthday. This poor man waited until midnight just to become the first person to wish me. Very sweet... except I was in deep sleep after spending the whole day smiling at relatives. He woke me up looking like Shah Rukh Khan. I responded looking like an angry hostel warden. I wasn't rejecting his love; I was rejecting consciousness at 12 a.m. The first month was less about marriage and more about participating in the "MasterChef: Family Edition." Every day there was a review committee for my cooking. If the salt was less, discussion. If the salt was more, discussion. If I visited the neighbour, discussion. If I stayed on my phone, discussion. One day even a street dog entered the house and ate food. Somehow that also became my performance appraisal. When we finally started living separately, things actually became better. We laughed more. We talked more. I slowly realised that underneath all the overthinking was a genuinely caring man who got excited over the smallest things. He smiled whenever I smiled. He remembered tiny details. He wanted us to become best friends. He just forgot that friendship doesn't arrive by express delivery. Then one day my period got delayed. Before I could even process anything, this man had already imagined baby names, school admissions, engineering college, and retirement plans. I simply ate some papaya because my grandmother suggested it. Unfortunately, Sherlock Holmes found the papaya peels in the dustbin. From that moment onward, the dustbin had more evidential value than my own explanation. The funniest part is that people think our marriage failed because of one big incident. Honestly, it was a collection of thousands of tiny misunderstandings. He expected me to understand every silent expectation. I expected him to read every silent hesitation. Neither of us spoke the other's language. Looking back, I don't think I married a bad man. I married an overenthusiastic golden retriever who expected romance to begin immediately after tying the mangalsutra. I was simply a confused girl who needed time to become comfortable with a complete stranger. Sadly, while he was already reading Chapter 20 of our love story, I was still on the preface. If only we'd spent half as much time laughing together as we spent conducting family meetings, maybe today we'd be arguing about which colour to wear together instead of whose version of the story is true.

You didn't mention anything about your past relationship, even though your husband revealed it in #c27700. If that is true, there is a possibility that you haven't fully moved on from that relationship. That could be one of the reasons you need more time to emotionally connect with him and are finding it difficult to adjust to married life. Generally, when someone is emotionally and mentally available, they are excited to embrace and enjoy their newly married life, especially if both partners had chosen each other freely for the marriage. That said, only you know your true feelings, so it would be helpful to reflect honestly on whether your past relationship is still affecting your present marriage.

You forgot 'both families came together to discuss but ended up beating each other' part. That gave original story 'Romeo Juliet' vibe....

If you are more excited to playing badminton than wedding sex, I guess your husband is damn ugly unfortunately. If not, you just married him for reasons other than love.

Husband was clear what he was expecting in the marriage but the wife seems confused. By 21 she should be aware what is to be done in the marriage. Yes the communication is missing where she could not tell this man to wait till she became comfortable with his presence. Husband should have also understood he should first make his wife comfortable; understand her; become friends and then plan over having babies. And yes even I would hate my beauty sleep disturbed at midnight for some important occasion but still would appreciate the person for remembering the moment

WoW ...... getting to read the other side of the story in such a short time is commendable. Both the husband and wife follow the page, read the confessions and post their own. Kudos to you girl for letting us all in on your perspective. Eagerly waiting for part 3 - the neighborhood kids side of the story.

Don't need of any comments or suggestions, you itself what happened clearly, so much maturity in your talk, do sit with him little by little convey him, u change little, he change little, have an happy life...

Anonymous9 July 2026 at 7:47 pm

It is natural to have expectations since your husband has never been in any kind of relationship, whereas you had already been in a relationship, which your husband later revealed in #C27700. However, you hid that detail in your confession (quite obvious), which you call "your side of the story." If you can't make an effort, then simply get a divorce and start a new life. He is making every possible effort, but it looks like you are restraining yourself from making any effort.

First of all 21 is certainly an age to get married ..first u need to be financially independent,so that u have ur own backing if things go wrong ..2nd is, you need to spend significant amount of time before taking the big decision of getting married, you will get to know the person a bit and if there is compatability miss match ..you can stop it there before moving ahead with the marriage which is much better..And if you have decided to get married then in some situation u need to adjust and in some,he has to ,depending on the kind of situation u r in ...Most of all, the understanding needs to be established before the expectation from each other ..if every one understand this then half of the divorce can be avoided !!

Anonymous9 July 2026 at 7:33 pm

Is this for real or someone's pranking. How could 2 people be on same confession page?

The husb look very genuine n putting all his efforts into the relationship and trying to make the girl feel comfortable, pampered, cared and loved Whereas this kiddo is simply making faces and mentally not present at the moment She wants to play badminton rather than being with husb when they were left alone after 4 days Plz dont marry.when u r not mentally prepared n spoil someone's life .... 21 is too young...its not ur husb who is still in 90 era.....its u n ur family who r stil in 70s era and got u married probably when u in ur final Yr of graduation

Seems like you were not mentally prepared for marriage. Don't marry if you are not prepared. Don't ruin someone's life by marrying them. Be alone and be happy in your dreams.

Anonymous10 July 2026 at 8:58 am

Comparing him to a dog, shows who you are. Things would've been good if you treated him like a human being. Psychopaths like you ruin the lives of good men...

if you are so much concerned about ur freedom and selfish thinking only about you why did you get married at the first place...u spoiled a nice guy life now and u r trying to hunt few more...ur husband has already posted the other side of the story, just because you use AI and write attractive it doesnt mean u r not at fault, dont ever justify the act of eating papaya and killing his child is correct...never ever get married again to anyone and spoil another guy life if u r not ready for family life

Anonymous10 July 2026 at 6:37 am

I read the confession possibly written by her husband. Let me come straight to not wishing to have babies. If that was the priority this girl should have consulted a gynaec and taken birth control pills. Also nothing is mentioned whether she really got pregnant or periods got delayed because of some other reason. This reason that the man is earning less how will he ever raise a child; provide a good education is completely stupid. Does the confessor want to say those who earn less their child cannot excel in life? If she is so worried about the financial situation of her husband she should start working. Has she figured out what she wants in this marriage? Why exactly did she agree to get married at such an young age (must have just graduated from college)? Possibly the husband might be right that the girl had a relationship in past or some other problem. Otherwise why would a married person not hold hands in public. Also when no one is around husband wants his wife to apply soap; he needs to somewhere somehow with the romance

While reading his confession itself I thought how dumb this man is. He needs to open up and see other person.

Anonymous9 July 2026 at 7:42 pm

Chat gpt story 🥱

Anonymous9 July 2026 at 7:29 pm

You seems more mature than your 90s husband. I believe things is in your hand. Communication gap is the worst things that took place in age gap relationships. He should consult a good psychiatrist to save your marriage and you should consult a good consultant. Saty away from family for couple of years.

Anonymous9 July 2026 at 7:22 pm

Ur the dumber moron... This is like an episode of dumb and dumber... As I mentioned in ur husband's post I see u also in the process of leasing out brains .. instead of communicating both of ur acting drama .. ur husband is doing the Indian desi serial while ur doing the kdrama here

Anonymous9 July 2026 at 7:06 pm

It's better he divorce u or u divorce him since ur word golden retriever kind of ring alarm to me . Better to seprate at this point She looks kind of immature nd I don't think she is going to be a good partner for this guy.
