Evaluating An Egypt Relocation Offer For A Young Couple

Dear all, Looking for genuine advice. I’m a 20-year-old male working in a top manufacturing company in Gurgaon with a CTC of ₹25.5 LPA. I got married 6 months ago after being in a relationship with my wife for 5 years. She is an IT engineer working from home with a package of ₹16 LPA. My company has offered me an opportunity to relocate to Egypt. The proposed package is €32,000 per year, along with a company car and international health insurance. However, I will need to manage accommodation and other living expenses myself, although the company will help me find a suitable apartment. Currently, I live in Gurgaon and pay around ₹30,000 per month in rent. I’m trying to understand whether this package is good enough to maintain a comfortable lifestyle and save a decent amount in Egypt, or whether I should negotiate for a higher package. I’m not under any pressure to accept the offer, but my manager believes it would be a great opportunity for international exposure and career growth. Those who have worked or lived in Egypt, especially Cairo, could you please share your thoughts? Is this a good offer, or should I negotiate before making a decision? Thanks in advance

Currently Ur getting 26.5 and they offer you 32.. means U get extra 5.5 only for 9one year rent in Cairo will cost you around 8 lacs to 10 lacs annual. So what is the difference ? Moreover U will leave Ur parents and Ur companion ... The international work field is good to gain more experience but U need to analyse the living cost and Ur family situation... Good luck and have a bright future.

All jobs abroad come with heavy non-monetary losses 1. Matrimonial 2. Relatives and friends 3. Promotion in Ofz (proximity) 4. Long term investment opportunities (real estate) Saving days are gone Only if you like travel (like me) and want to enjoy international work experience opt for it

The cost of living in Egypt is very less. Egypt has lots of issues internally.
