I am a 28 year old male working a corporate job from home. Because I have an introverted personality, I find it very difficult to make friends; even my immediate neighbors do not know me. I completed most of my studies at an all boys school, and even afterward, I was too shy to talk to anyone and never really had the opportunity to do so anyway. The biggest problem is that it takes an immense amount of effort and courage for me to make a friend. Yet, the people I meet seem to make new friends effortlessly, and they eventually ditch me. I managed to make a couple of male friends, but after some time, they started ghosting me and stopped talking to me altogether. No one wants to go on trips with me anymore, and even if they do go once, they never want to go a second time. I feel like they just don't find me interesting. Lately, I have started fearing big cities, and I feel like I am decaying because I have hardly anyone to talk to. On top of that, my parents are looking for a partner for me, but I am terrified of what to talk about and how to figure out who the right partner would be. How do I deal with all of this?

You are unnecessarily exaggerating this. You know that you are introvert. After knowing your fault, try to come out of it. Don't make friends just for the sake. Talk to people with open heart. Don't hesitate. Laugh, share, hang out, travel with them. The best way to have friends is to join some community activities. Even sports arenas are the best points. Explore yourself to the world. Having healthy friendship is really needed and it's bliss.

There are usually many self help groups, workshops, new habit development classes in bigger cities where you may find people who are similar in personality like you. Also, seeing a therapist is good to be more at ease within yourself.

If you love yourself then be what you are, why change and try to become someone you are not, you can't play such a character for long in real world, if you are inrovert it's ok, if someone doesn't find you interesting it's not your problem it's there problem, do things that you feel good about, re develop your personality by enjoying what you like , in today's times most of the friends are not real friends, after marriage most of the people loose touch with old friends as change is part of life, everyone has friends but real friends are very few 1-2 most probably some don't have friends at all, the thing is priorities changes the thinking of people and they simple forget and move on, I had 5-6 good friends all are happily married and not in touch they moved to different cities/countries, after a time in life you start loving the loneliness and enjoy yourself with your family, find satisfaction in things that interest you, so don't feel bad your top most priority should be self love and what you feel like doing, all my life I wanted a dog, it took me 40 years to get one in 2023 as I was born in a family who didn't like dogs, today I have my little furbaby who is my second child, I am telling you this just for an example, in life what you want may not come to you that easily keep trying, best of luck
