I’m a 20-year-old from Pakistan, fighting alone for my dreams and my family. My mother has been paralyzed for 5 years, my father has dementia, and after my two elder brothers left, I’m the only one taking care of my parents and younger siblings. I’m the only educated person in our 60+ family members. I worked in coal mines, as a security guard, and as a laborer, yet I scored 87% in FSC and won more than 30 some on district awards. Last year I got waitlisted at Harvard, Princeton, Georgetown and 5 other top US universities. Now I want to raise my IELTS from 6 to 7, prepare for SAT, and apply again for fully funded scholarships. But inside I’m broken I show signs of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, depression, and severe anxiety. I cry every day, overthink constantly, my body shakes, heartbeat is irregular, hair is falling, and I feel totally lost and tired of life. I don’t know what to do: go to hospital for my mental health or keep working to feed my family? If you have any advice on scholarships, studies, mental health, or handling such situations, please comment. Your one suggestion can change my life. Thank you ❤️

do not choose between mental health and your dreams. Your mental health is now part of the survival plan. If your mind collapses, your family support, studies, IELTS, SAT, and scholarship applications all become harder. Health is wealth!

I don't have any definitive corrective measures for you kiddo.. You've already gone through and going through the toughest times of your life... So I have just one advice... Always Remember God gives his hardest battles to it's strongest soldiers... Maybe you're his chosen one... So that's why you're going through times that'll make any grown man crack and give up... Don't GIVE UP... That's Rule number 1... And Rule Number 2 is Follow Rule number 1... After sometime you'll see you're at a place in life where people can't even reach in their dreams... Take Care and God Bless. 🙂

First concentrate on your mental health..Go to best psychiatrist and take counselling from therapist. Other thing you don't have schezoprania. You have depression. Early treatment is better. Cool your mind..

Can you edit your post explain what symptoms of schizophrenia you are having?

Bro if family has 60+ people no one can maintain mental sanity, You are a bright person you first look for some NGO who can help you on the mental health and if possible take medical help , now coming to the second part, try to secure a good job in Pakistan first and then move forward gradually.
