#C27580 I am a 29+ year old woman, married for 3 years, working in an MNC with around 7 years of total experience. My current CTC is 13 LPA, and my husband is also in the same profession. I am at a stage where I feel quite confused about planning the next phase of life. On one hand, we are thinking about having a baby next year. On the other hand, I have significant financial responsibilities towards my family and also want to grow both financially and technically in my career. I have been with my current organization for the last 4 years. The team is supportive, my manager is helpful, and I have a good work-life balance. However, I feel that I may have better growth opportunities if I switch to a new organisation. Would it be wise to switch companies now when we are planning for a baby in the near future? I am worried about joining a new organization without knowing the culture, pressure, expectations, or work-life balance. At the same time, I don't want to delay my career growth unnecessarily. For those who became mothers while building their careers, how did you approach this decision? What helped you continue growing professionally while managing parenthood? Looking for genuine experiences and advice please 🙏

If the current organisation provides good work life balance, maybe you should plan your baby while staying in this company. As I have seen, a maternity leave would impact your career maybe for a year or so, but then slowly you would be back on your track. Considering you already stayed with your current organisation for 4 years, it would be much easier to be back on track. Just an opinion.

Switch the job after your baby. As you have a suportive team and the manager here. If you need any help in doing your work and leave, you can easily get in your present company. And there is no consistance vacancies outside and there is no job security at this moment.
