#C27086 36, Female , Bangalore ,15 yrs experience In 2025 i went through restructurings in my previous company (new word in IT - laath khayi along with 4500+ ) I was almost on verge of cracking 2 companies interview but because of delay and my LWD was near i joined TechM. Now feels like made a mistake As i come with niche skill set in Audit GRC i was assigned aviation project to lead but within 6 month i was put on bench because the profit and loss was -180% in the project , this is not my responsibility but i became escape goat. Now i have been put to support project after 14 yrs of experience in GrC. As we all know market is down no call for interview and I am doing Pretty ok in my work. I am having fear that my skill set might dilute because of this ticketing work incident work they have to a 14 years experience person and also this company steal employee salary by not honouring shift allowance and deduct salary with xyz reason, surprisedly Many of my peer colleague dont even know why 20-25k was cut in name of recovery in current month salary. I am confused cannot even leave job and career stagnancy and skill set dilution is something i am concern off pls help Project manager who gives projects is new or old i dont know but i am not getting confidence that he will assign a project which will aligned with my skill set. It is already 6 month in support project will my skill set GrC compliance will dilute if i continue doing it

My thought - stay employed, continue performing well in the support role, but treat the next 6 -8 months as a transition period. target should be: * 60% focus on current job * 40% focus on returning to GRC through certifications, networking, internal mobility, Attend risk and compliance forums . The current assignment is unlikely to damage a 14-year GRC career. Volunteer for internal audits, ISO programs, risk reviews * Ask for partial allocation to GRC initiatives Start interviewing even if the market is slow- One mistake many professionals make is waiting for the market to improve. Keep spending a significant amount of time on job searches and applying . All the best things will change 👍
